From Nutrition to Code: Zunaira’s Inspiring Journey

Zunaira’s journey into freelancing wasn’t conventional. Zunaira’s story is about resilience, adaptability, and a relentless pursuit of opportunity. “The start was very simple; we were 3-4 people and thought we should do something of our own. So, we created this company,” Zunaira recalls. “By creating this company, we employed the people of Pakistan.”

Initially trained as a nutritionist, she soon realized that opportunities in this field were scarce in Pakistan. Despite her education, securing a job as a dietitian proved challenging. This turning point led her to explore alternative career paths, eventually leading her to the world of Information Technology (IT).

It all began with a simple WhatsApp status. In search of a job where she could learn new skills,

Zunaira posted

“I’m looking for a job. If anyone has any job where I can learn, please refer me.”

This small step opened doors to a new career for her. One of the companies answered, offering her an opportunity despite her lack of IT experience. They saw potential and were willing to train her. She joined as a project coordinator and worked diligently for two years, learning the ropes of the tech industry.

Becoming Her Own Boss

Zunaira’s transition from employment to freelancing was driven by one simple yet powerful motivation:

 “I’m my own boss!”

The freedom and control over her professional life were convincing reasons to embark on the freelance journey. Unlike traditional jobs, freelancing offered her the ability to choose her clients, set her working hours, and navigate projects on her terms.

Her workdays are structured yet dynamic. While she follows a routine, the nature of freelancing means every day brings different challenges and interactions, particularly with clients from diverse industries and backgrounds.
